A haunting reflection on dawn, terror, and hope. For the Sun After the Long Nights draws from the Persian proverb Payan-e shab-e siah sepid ast—the belief that light inevitably follows the darkest night—while confronting the tragedy of morning executions during the uprising. The title echoes the historic mournful plea, Makon ey sobh toloo' ("Oh morning, do not rise"), capturing a moment where dawn brings both grief for lives stolen before sunrise and the lingering promise of ultimate renewal.
